It’s official, Jeff and I are homeowners! We couldn’t be more thrilled to be building our lives and spreading our roots for our future family. Our little 1,250 sq. ft. 3-bedroom townhouse has a whole bunch of love from us living here the last 2 years as renters and I can’t wait to see what […]
I’m going to get real with you all – being in a lifetime relationship can be really hard. You as an individual posses a lot of feelings and emotions that can conflict with those around you, and you may just want to be on your own sometimes. Other times, it’s hard to see eye-to-eye and […]
My husband and I are not so unique – we’re best friends and date nights are more than romantic candlelight dinners. We love to get out, do things together and just have fun together rather than get all dolled up into uncomfortable clothing. We’re casual and comfortable, and we love just being together, and this […]
From your husband, to your dog, to everyone in between, Valentine’s Day isn’t just a day to treat the one you love the most. It’s the one time anyone can share heart-shaped everything and be overly gushy because we all love someone, and that’s great! See a few of my favorite gifts for your special […]
We can all attest that life is insane – whether it be relationships, family, children, work or any of the other curve balls thrown at you from all angles. Our lives have been nothing but insanity this year, between getting married, buying a house (at least attempting to), and the many other things that can go wrong or right, so I firmly have learned that you must move through life with intention and an open mind, or else you constantly feel defeated.
After over two years of wedding planning, our honeymoon seemed like quite the relief that was a long-time coming. Puerto Rico and many of the Southern Caribbean islands were a dream come true: beautiful scenery, exciting adventures, and something new for us to experience together. We were lucky to miss the terrible hurricanes tormenting the Atlantic this season (barely), but reflect on the wonderful experience we had together.
Our modern society has monopolized on the expenses of weddings – $4,000 for flowers to make a room “extra magical”, $5,000 for a wedding dress “because it’s couture”, and lastly, $7,500 for eight hours in a pretty basic piece of grass for the reception (insert eye role here). So many people get caught up in the numbers and planning that they forget what their efforts are actually about: being married, not getting married.
