Over the last month, I’ve forced myself to take a step back in life. There has been so much going on all summer long that I just felt completely exhausted, even after our week long vacation. On top of that, there are so many changes coming with the season and life that I didn’t feel […]
Be better, feel better, do better – these are just a few of the topics we wish for in the new year for ourselves. We all want to be stronger, better and more efficient individuals dominating at life just like the next person, but we all can’t just start doing that on our own. I have found that reading new strategies, enjoying new points of views can really assist in supporting you mentally and emotionally in an new or improved journey forward in life. Whether it be about life, careers or just plain growing up, books are a great resource for finding information you need to take your journey to the next level.
It’s true, 2018 is here and we all hit the restart button on life. The new year is the perfect time to give yourself goals and create strategies for life that could create greater positivity and happiness. One of the most popular New Year’s resolutions is health and fitness – admittedly, this has definitely been one of mine in the past, but overtime, I have evolved it to be less about losing certain amounts of weight and to be more opened ended for holistic health and wellness. Finding the right goals and routine for you is important in achieving any goal, and with a few guided steps, those who need help in formulating a plan can successfully find true results.
Boy, has this year been a rollercoaster ride! Life has its ups and downs, but this has been especially jolting with so many large and exciting life events. Even though nothing was ever perfect, there were so many beautiful moments and I can’t wait to open my heart to the possibilities that 2018 will bring our home, our family and our friends. On New Year’s Eve, we raise our glasses to the beauty life still has to bring us and the fun still ahead in the journey of life!

Anyone in the interior design world knows a little something about Chip and Joanna Gaines: this dynamic husband and wife duo from Waco have developed a revolutionary path in the design sector for modern farmhouse style and the market is just dying for it! I have been personally thrilled to see their affordable pieces created exclusively for Target and was one of the first to get a peek of what’s to come from this Fixer Upper clan.
Our modern society has monopolized on the expenses of weddings – $4,000 for flowers to make a room “extra magical”, $5,000 for a wedding dress “because it’s couture”, and lastly, $7,500 for eight hours in a pretty basic piece of grass for the reception (insert eye role here). So many people get caught up in the numbers and planning that they forget what their efforts are actually about: being married, not getting married.
